This year’s Summit asks where AI is already changing how science is done, and what scientific research might look like by 2030.
Under the theme Aspiration, Action, Anticipation: AI for Science Looking to 2030, researchers from across disciplines will explore advances at the frontier of AI and scientific discovery, from new approaches to scientific reasoning and discovery to cancer biology, climate and weather prediction, animal behaviour and cosmology.
Confirmed speakers and panellists include Professor Max Welling, Amsterdam Machine Learning Lab, University of Amsterdam; Dr Hana Aliee, Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute; Dr Boris Bolliet, Department of Physics, University of Cambridge; Dr Cait Newport, Department of Biology, University of Oxford; Professor Richard Turner, Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge; Professor Neil Lawrence, Department of Computer Science and Technology, University of Cambridge; Professor Stephen Roberts, Department of Engineering Science, University of Oxford; and Dr Sadiq Jaffer, Department of Computer Science and Technology, University of Cambridge.
The day will bring together researchers and practitioners working across AI and science for talks, discussion and a poster session, creating an opportunity to take stock of what is happening now and look ahead to the next few years of AI-enabled research.
